It's fast and easy to set up, it doesn't modify your EVE directory files in any way, and it's simple, yet elegant and effective. It takes you out of the station, warps to a belt, mines ore, returns to station, drops off the ore, and repeats. If needed, it will launch drones and use boosters. The GUI for the program is simple and very easy to understand, and you can program it to maximize your mining efficiency.
If you do have some issues with it initially (I had some), the staff at Van Gogh are helpful and responsive here on the forums, ICQ, through e-mail, etc.
TinyMiner isn't mega-sophisticated, but it doesn't have to be. It gets the job done with minimal fuss. Plus, it's very inexpensive, so you have nothing to lose paying the small sum of $10 for it. I've done the math with EVE Fit and the ore market, and you really can make up to 100 mil on a good day in a good ship. Even with a Retriever and T1 lasers, TinyMiner will pay itself off through ISK less than a week.
