TinyMinerPlus Double Client Question/Issue

Post by swissdude4242 »

So with the double client 1 is supposed to minimize when you're trying to run 2 and 2 should minimize when you're trying to run 1. How do you set it up so that it actually does that? I start both and the one will go then 2 will pop up and do everything from 1 in 2.

Sorry if it's confusing.

I'm not sure I understand what exactly is the issue? TinyMinerPlus will do the same stuff in both clients, just wait a bit and watch it work its magic. Also there is an option in the advanced settings that lets you alternate minimizing the EVE clients, although it works just as fine with both EVE windows on screen, one on top of the other.

open first eve client
open first tinyminer
open second eve client
open second tinyminer
start tiny miner 1
start tiny miner 2

both ships undock and go to ice field
tm1 locks ice and starts mining
tm2 locks ice and starts mining
tm1 stops, tm2 stops
everything resets and nothing was mined

is there some option that I'm missing?

You cannot open two copies of TinyMiner, unless they are installed in different locations, in which case you are making a terrible mistake and this is why it doesn't work. You need to use the TinyMinerPlusDoubleClient.exe application which is included in the Plus package. In fact I have to ask why haven't you already done so? That will manage two EVE clients on its own.

I'm afraid you completely lost me. After completing the ICE mining cycle TMPlus is supposed to warp both clients back to the station to unload the ICE and start a new mining run. What exactly is the mouse cursor doing for you?

The one TM client has a cycle of 358 seconds and the second TM Plus Client has a cycle of 507 seconds. TM switches the eve clients incorrectly and will stop the 507 harvester at 358 seconds and will stop the eve client that should stop at 358 at 507 and warp back and repeat accordingly. So the one eve client is mining nothing and the other is getting one very slow load.

Hope this clarifies
Thanks for the quick replies

The switching order of the EVE clients is decided by the order in which you log them in. So you can simply log the other one first if you wish. Furthermore you will achieve best results when you use identical ships, such as two Mackinaws for your ICE mining scenario.
