The mistery of icon size in the Selected Item window
The mistery of icon size in the Selected Item window
I am quite perplexed over the icon sizes in the "selected items" window, and so is TM. Sometimes the icons are large and sometime small. when they are small everything works ok. But when they are large TM selects "keep at range", instead of "unlock target". When this happens TM keeps repeating the process, and always selects "keep at range" icon. I'm sure it not a TM problem but maybe someone may know a fix or workaround.

Sometimes when you manually click objects in space, some of them may have more options (icons in the Selected Item window) than the others. When this happens the Selected Item window will become larger to accomodate the extra icons. All is fine until you go back to select a nomal asteroid again which has fewer icons. But now since there is extra space in the Selected Item window, the icons will be Bigger than they were before when the Selected Item window was smaller (I'm talking about the height of the window).
Starting with version v1.90, TinyMiner can detect on its own if the icons in the Selected Item window are smaller or bigger and this works fine unless you mess with it when it's mining. It only makes this detection at the beginning of each cycle (when it first arrives in belt), so don't go about clicking things in space while it's mining because you will mess the Selected Item window for sure although it's not hard to see it once you are aware of this.
Well I'm sure this makes sense if you read it a few times or try it on your own. Bottom line is don't interfere with it when it's mining and make sure the Overview contains asteroids and nothing else. Also you will know for sure if the Selected Item window will grow Exceedingly high because TinyMiner will start clicking on "Distance" instead of the first asteroid in the Overview. That's when it's time to drag the Selected Item window smaller so that the Overview can be a little higher again.

I have this problem frequently. I guarentee that I have only ice in my overview. The program will randomly mine 10-50 units, I turn the moniter on in the morning and see it clicking "distance" trying to lock ice. Is it just possible to compensate and have it look for the 3rd item down? Also you will know for sure if the Selected Item window will grow Exceedingly high because TinyMiner will start clicking on "Distance" instead of the first asteroid in the Overview. You need to zoom out the camera to the max in order to avoid the targeting lines crossing over the Selected Item window. Also you can make a copy of your EVE folder and use that exclusively for mining.
