Feature Request - Repair (DONE)

I'm perhaps not the most attentive of people and as everyone knows the NPC's will quite happily shoot at drones rather than yourself. It'd be handy if during breaks or even every X runs the bot would repair the ship (and thus the drones).

And how do you suggest it would go about doing that step by step?

well as there should be nothing in the middle of the screen you can right click on the "center" of the screen where your ship is you will get a drop down that has the repair option in it (as long as you are in a station that can do repairs as there are some that you can not do repairs in ) then it will bring up the repair facilities window. then click the repair all location with the mouse and if there is no damage it will do nothing (window can be set in a static position)and then hit the return and undock like normal

that would be my guess at this point but i am not a programmer of any type and me i just bought a t1 drone print and ME PE'd it up and ran off a thousand of them also have the related drone skills up a bit so they can take a bit more of a pounding. have never came back to an empty drone bay up to this point so i would be meh on this feature.

I don't know if anybody has requested this, or if Hulks, Macks or other ships ever get damaged, but, when "taking a break in station for n minutes, stacking..." could, can we elect to do a "Repair All" if the station supports this? It would be handy to have! Thanks!

So far very impressed with TinyMiner and this is the only thing I have a problem with. I guess once you're all skilled up as an uber-miner it's less of an issue but when you are still trying to get there (I'm still mining in a cruiser for example) the repair function would be the final polish on an already great system. The way it stands at present I am getting an hour or two out of TM before my drones are dead and I get an EVE shutdown from critical shield damage. If there was the option to repair drones when dropping off ore I wouldn't have a problem at all.

Thanks for making TM and please consider this request for a future release.

Guys...i suggest using a program called "EFT" (Eve fitting tool) and skill your toons up alittle. Considering i can tank 2 SBing BSes in a 0.6 with both my mack and hulk...yet you guys cant tank a couple of NPC rats...i'm a little worried how you fit your ships. Also consider aswell that if you start mining in a system with the new "sansha incursion" all local npcs will be replaced with sansha rats and i'm dare saying your ships will explode even quiker.

And why are your drones dying from rats?...have you got your drones on aggressive or passive?...and how many drones you got??...you should skill upto 5 drones, and be using SMALL drones...not mediums...as all high sec rats are frig size, so small drones are better.

If you going to using TM...and want to "AFK" mine..i'd seriously consider looking at your current ship setups before undocking again....

well what would have been nice to try and teach these people how to tank 2 Sbing BSs maybe telling them what your ship fit is could realy help them with eft so that they know what skills they should be looking at skilling up ?

Ok..first fit..for the hulk should be pretty easy and this one can run cap stable...but you need most cap related skills at 5

Now...for my greatest find with EFT..my mack fit. I'm not going to give you it as it a trade secret ;)...but i will give a BIG clue.."Medium Shield extender"

Yes it is active tanked and cap stable and yes it carries 12 blocks of ice...but you need max skills to fit it. For those who say "you cant fit a MSE on a mack"..well i all i say to them is.."LEARN TO USE EFT" :). It will take near an additional month of training on your mining toon, but it will be worth it....unless you can afford replacing macks.

Now remember this...this isnt "hulkageddon proof". You mite be able to survive 2 SBing BSes but if a third one comes..you'll die, or another major thing is arty thrashers. I'm guessing you could problay tank 3-5 of these..but i doubt if you survive a alpha of 8 or so on ya.

As for people now thinking.."what about the rats"? well a small T1/T2 shield booster will tank ANY rats in empire..even a civilian booster with enough resist would problay tank the rats long enough til your done with your cycles and warp back to base. If you mining in 0.0 i here all you need is a pithi/gistii A-Type booster to tank rats...if so go for it, there are between 60-100mil though. As for gisti/pithi booster..golden rule DONT USE THEM IN HIGH SEC...there is no need for them and your mack/hulk will explode much quiker once someone scans you and discovers what you got.

I hope this helps some ppl..sry bout not giving that exact mack fit but i'm not giving that one away that easily...but i gave you a big clue so if shouldnt be hard...if you know how to use EFT.

EDIT..forgot to add, if you have an orca aswell in your fleet, tell them to drop the cap related gang module and put in a shield harmonics module..yes it will require extra trainig for the orca pilot but it will give all hulks and macks in fleet an addtional 800-1000 EHP...making them even more "gank proof".

Here's a question though...how does VG fit his hulks and macks? ;)

I am not concerned about over-tanking my hulks since I mine mainly in a Wormhole and TinyMiner warps to the POS as soon as the Scanner image has changed. On a brighter note, the Repair option has been introduced in the latest version v5.44. Make sure you resize the Repair Window to be as small as possible and position it so that the mouse cursor clicks on the "Repair All" button. As usual I'm a little behind with updating the tutorial screenshots but I'm sure you will manage just fine.
