What happens to players attacking my drones?
What happens to players attacking my drones?
Quick question,
What happens if a pvp oriented player pops one of my drones? If it's hisec, does he get concorded? Just checking.

Concord got boosted quite a bit ever since the goons started ganking people in hisec. Nowadays concord response time is just a few seconds so most of the time gankers fail.

Just to let you know, some of my corp got ganked in tolle in the ice belt last thursday by Goons. Granted it was our fault, we were grouped close with 2 orca's and we hadnt set our macks for tanking (really dumb I know). Fortunately the orca's shields barely got scratched.... Unfortunately the 7 macks did not. And we got podded as well.VanGoghGaming wrote:Concord got boosted quite a bit ever since the goons started ganking people in hisec. Absolute Clarity and Yalalala hit us with a typhoon and raven with max smartbombs.
Be aware they have been hitting even solo miners in and around tolle for months. Even with -10.0 security they operate freely in empire. CCP could care less about us carebears and concord did not show up in a .7 system until after 2 smartbomb rounds. Thats not very fast. Personally I think anyone with a -8.0 rating should be warp scrambled, webbed and podded by concord. But you know that'll never happen, long as they PvP CCP will turn a blind eye.
Re: What happens to players attacking my drones?
well, it is a common and lame pvp technique to have a pilot in a free newbie ship attack your drones, he will get an aggro and crime timer and get concorded.
but!!! when your drones shot back at him, he will have the right to attack u for 15mins, so will his fleetmates... they just have to warp to you, scramble u und blow u to pieces.
without concord showing up.... costs for the gankers???? 0,00 ISK because newbie ships are free....

Re: What happens to players attacking my drones?
Well I haven't actually tested this but I don't think it happens like that. They only get kill rights if YOU initiate the attack and YOU land the final blow on them which won't happen since Concord will get that for sure! Furthermore I don't think kill rights extend to fleet members as well...

Just had my hulk popped in empire by a destroyer. I've had this program for less than a day and it seems to work wonders. I haven't delved deeply enough to try and set it up for mining in the WH but I think even that might be safer than mining in empire.

So, basically this means that you should stop using drones altogether in order to avoid flagging yourself for PvP when pirates shoot your drones with newbie ships and later on come to blow you up with a proper ship. With this permanent hulkageddon it is best to mine in a cheaper ship such as the covetor and use a civilian shield booster for protection or mine in 0.9 or 1.0 sec where there are no rats at all.

is this confirmed? will drones engage an attacker? as VG says, this would mean, do NOT use drones!vguch wrote:well, it is a common and lame pvp technique to have a pilot in a free newbie ship attack your drones, he will get an aggro and crime timer and get concorded.

Re: What happens to players attacking my drones?
tested it:
doesnt work this way. you get GCC and players with GCC lose control of their warp drives and can’t board fresh ships limiting them to one attempted gank every 15 minutes.
so drones are not a problem. you still can get ganked by a couple of dessies or T3 BCs...
