Program Request: Autopilot (DONE)

Post by TJRedleg »

Now if only you could figure out how to create a macro that will warp to zero for me so I can afk travel in peace, now that would be worth something.

I have thought about this but the only way to determine the next stargate to warp to would be to actually read its name from the screen. That would mean an advanced artificial intelligence optical character recognition algorithm that would not fit in the scope of the TinyMiner project.

I've seen a couple of other programs out there that are advertising this feature but frankly I doubt their reliability very much. The slightest change of color on the screen caused by any new patch would totally screw up their character reading algorithm. However if anyone could prove me wrong, I stand corrected since I never used such programs myself.

Rgr I agree.

The one program I saw seems to work at least from what I've read on their forums. From reading the setup for this program it uses color to recognize where to click.

To bad you cant filter out gates that aren't relevant.

I beg to differ. In the right click menu where you choose what gate to warp to they are all of the same color so the only way to choose the right one is to read its name. That's why I mentioned an optical character recognition algorithm (OCR). The name of the next gate in the jump sequence is written in yellow-ish color below the current system information, but that's not clickable.

If you choose to try the other program you mentioned I would be interested in the outcome.

It cost to much.

I've already spent to much looking for a program that works reliably.

I have figured an alternative and much easier way to solve this problem. I have included a free Warp to Zero Hauler / Trade route runner within TinyMiner from version v1.80. Please refer to the instructions and screenshots from the tutorial page. Have fun transporting your goods or picking up the items that you bought many jumps away with the confort and speed of Warp to Zero at each stargate!;)
