Could we possibly get a downtime program into TM? so when dt comes it logs off and back on after dt?

Well ever since the beginning TM was built around the idea that it is unsafe to enter your private details into any macro and it will remain like that for the sake of consistency and peace of mind for all its users. However if there is enough demand for this feature I suppose it could be implemented into a separate standalone application that could kick in after downtime and restart TM and EVE.

I'd buy it!

VG, Please don't program this. It won't sell more TM's. It won't make more people happy on the long run.
It will only make more people be caught not for the program but for their greedy behaviour of mining 23/24 in the same system on the same bookmarks.

Discovery is inevitably sooner then when people actually use their brain and try not to be to conspicuous.

Again I would definitely stop using TM knowing that there are a lot of people that cannot control their greed, mine 23/24, drawing attention from CCP hence making them investigate the code be cause of the users behaviour and thus using their findings to kick a lot more TM users who are in fact trying to keep a low-profile.

Focus on those great enhancements that you did so far.

It's not a question of greed. For some people the daily downtime just happens at an unsuitable hour of the day so they miss a lot of mining. It all depends on their timezone and it doesn't necessarily mean they will mine 23/24. I am sure that many users are already mining all day long as it is right now. As I said above, if there will be enough demand, this won't be a part of TM but a separate application available for existing TM users.

Also something that would be a nice addition to this external application would be the ability to have dual account setup, ie run one account for 12 hours, switch to alternate account for the remaining 11/12 hours hence giving those of us who wish the lower the odds of being detected a viable option to still have a continous 23/7 mining setups.

So it would mean having twice as many accounts, but when you can easily make 150mil isk a day between two continuously running accounts, the having two extra is barely going to hurt your wallet, especially when you consider what it will cost to replace these accounts if they get banned.

Personally i live in a timezone where DT doesn't affect me much if i use TM so i won't be needing log on features. But if the stand-alone program allows to switch character automatically. I will definately grab this!!!

I support this idea. I work in shifts and every other week just leave for work when dt starts.

How about giving this small app as a boon for the pluspacket customers? Maybe not have it to connect to your end to verify it. Would make for way less discussions about login detail integrity if the app would stay put on the tm rig only.

a logoff/logon feature would be useful if there is a need to restart a mining process, i.e. you get stuck in an asteroid belt, and TM cant "free" you up

the only problem I see is there is a bit of "maintenance" you have to do after logging on,
1) opening the bookmarks
2) relocating back to the station/pos if you disconnected "less than gracefully"
3) rejoining the fleet, personally I do all my mining in a fleet, so THIS is a real "real nice to have" feature
4) also, for some reason (could be the DT warning messages) when logging on after downtime, I notice that my Station bookmark is gone, and have to re-add it... I am docked in the station, so it had to delete it after it selected "dock", but before logging off...

if you dont want to use the feature.... YOU DONT HAVE TO USE IT....

agree mutt with a lot of these issues you mention, including the 'station bm gone'.

especially the way I setup my fleets, that's so tedious that I can't imagine VG will even want to program it :)

Personally I can think of plenty of other features and improvments to TinyMiner than auto-login. Personally, the developer has said it's a trust thing (i.e. the bot can't run off with our stuff or feed him username/passwords)... and frankly I approve and support that.

Personally I'd like to see it scroll through local chat so as to be aware of Neuts/Hostiles appearing but falling above/bellow the checked area.

Is it possible to detect and close the downtime warning messages?

Also would we be able to get an option to automatically login after downtime or on a disconnect that is optional incase people don't what their login details in the program? Maybe even have the miner restart eve if something went wrong. This would be extremely useful.

Regarding the dt messages, use the software and you will see this has already been implemented for a long time now.

Auto-Login would be a great feature as the best time for me is when I go to bed (Have to use my computer the entire rest of the day, can't have the mouse zooming around). Unfortunately, TM can only get about 2 hours worth of mining and then the ~5 or so other hours is wasted while I'm sleeping. Sometimes I've set an alarm clock on my laptop to wake me up so I can restart it, but it is pretty hard to wake me up..

If there was a way to implement it I would definitely appreciate it.

sorry if I'm asking to much but is it possible to get an auto log in feature? I'm looking for something that will at a set time log in to the game and begin the mining. it doesn't need to be complex and i don't want it to relogin if the miner has to exit for some reason. but the server comes back up while I'm asleep due to the time zones. I'd rather not have to set an alarm everyday to get up set the miner going and go back to bed.. thanks in advance.

It would be great to have an autolog feature. I'm deployed and dont get to play as much as I'd like to. If at all some weeks. an auto log feature would be awesome. support the troops! make a autolog!

A Relogger for Eve/opening the bot would be pretty nice. With scheduling and all.
