This Mackinaw will mine 14 ice cubes in 1170 seconds. Take into account 150 to get back and forth and another 60 seconds in the station (1380 seconds) you can easily get in over 55 runs in a day. If you mine for 23 hours straight it is conceivable to get 60 runs although I have never reached it.

Some might say that the 2 Gistii B-Type Small Shield Boosters makes you a big target. But they are really not worth that much isk and having 2 boosters running at the same time with the Magnetic Scattering Amplifier II allows you to tank 126 dps. This setup can easily tank 8 smartbombs long enough for Concord to save your butt. Shield Resistances are EMP 66.8%, Thermal 50%, Kinetic 62.5%, and Explosive 65%.

Now if you get ganked by more then 3 then you probably will still be destroyed. C'est la vie, right?

If you don't want to put in the Cargohold Opt IIs then just put in the Tech 1 version. You will still get 12 cubes of ice in 1002 seconds. I estimated that you can get at least 40 cubes more per day with the Tech 2's. At current pricing of say 100,000 isk per cube that is 4 mil more per day. So you can pay for the Cargo IIs in 88 days.

Ok, that's my 2 cents.

Why did i choose the Magnetic Scattering Amplifier II instead of another passive tank item. Well, without the Mag Scat Amp 2 your EMP shield resistance is only 37.5%. The lowest of all your shield resistances. The goons know that the main weakness of an Exhumer is EMP so they equip their boats with EMP damage. I have trained all my Shield Compensation skills up to 5 already so I can passive tank the rats without any extra help. Of course, the rats will never get past your Gistii Shield Boosters.

This ships main weakness is Thermal damage. But you still have 50% Shield Resistance to Thermal Damage and that's pretty darn good. If someone comes at you with 8x Thermal Smartbombs that do 300 damage in the first shot you will only take 1200 in the first blast. I have 1476 shield with my present skills so I can tank it all. It will take 10 seconds before the next blast goes off and your shield will have already regenerated 820 points by then. Also, Concord will be making it into the system just around the time the second blast goes off. If you can survive 2 blasts the ganker will either be blown out of the sky by Concord or he will run.
