What Isk/hour can you achieve using TinyMiner?
What Isk/hour can you achieve using TinyMiner?
I'm new to mining and just started using an Omen with 5 mining lasers and a hold of 562.5 m3. I get 1.5 cycles into the hold and have to warp back to station.
TinyMiner is doing a good job with that, but it seems to get about 1M isk/hour where, with the same ship using jetcan mining, I could get 3.6M isk/hour.
Of course, I barely know what I'm doing and I'm working on it. But, perhaps you guys can tell me how well you can get it working?
So,
1) what Isk/hour can you achieve using TinyMiner?
2) what tactics/methods/ships do you use?
3) what newbie ships and tactics can you suggest? Note, I'm still 9 days of training away from a Covetor.

The Covetor is not really that good anymore. For a newbie I'd say the best mining barge right now is the Retriever due to its huge ore hold. You will cut down the trips to the station to a minimum and tremendously boost your yield. I'd say that a Retriever mining safely in 0.9 or 1.0 sec (no rat spawns at all) could easily pull around 10 mil ISK per hour, more or less depending on your skills and equipment.
Then later on when your character will have gained enough skill points you could upgrade to the Mackinaw exhumer and mine in more dangerous systems that hold much more valuable ore up to null sec and wormholes where you can find the much coveted ABC ore (arkonor, bistot, crokite).

Re: What Isk/hour can you achieve using TinyMiner?
Since the mining ship ugrades i have switched to a Mackinaw because of the 35k ore hold, but even using all the mining upgrades and an orca boosting with full modules and implants, my miners cannot earn more than 15 mill an hour each thats in 0.5 system. I currenly use 2 miners and one boosting with orca. Oh and despite what people might say there is no difference in mining with 3 Macks or 2 Macks and 1 orca, just a lot easier controlling 2 miners.

With a Mack in 0.5 system station mining with no Orca boosting I am pulling about 15mil per hour before refining. Now if I got my exhumer skill from 3 to 5 and added a 5% implant then moved my orca pilot down..... hehe

Well, judging from the posts above, if you would mine non-stop 24/7 you would easily pull over 350 mil per day and while that was okay a few years ago, now I would advise against such exaggeration since CCP will catch up with you sooner or later if you let your greed get the best of you. No human is able to mine for such extended periods of time and they know that! The best advice you can get these days is to mine with moderation for 7-10 hours per day and alternate mining characters so that you can fly below the radar and enjoy a long and profitable mining career!

Mining Mercoxit with two procurers in a grav site in 0.0 space I can pull down around 120 mil per hour.

Re: What Isk/hour can you achieve using TinyMiner?
Since the June update here is what I'm getting:
Average 6 million ISK per hour. That is down from 9 million ISK per hour before the June upgrade since the minerals prices went down...
That is in a Mackinaw, in a 0.8 system, level 5 on everything necessary, T-2 on everything possible and no drones.
I never mine 24/7, never every day of the week. I mix up the days, the toons, the systems and the hours as well. I mine heavier on the weekends and very light on the week days but never any kind of schedule. I do not get greedy and even take a week or two off. If I average 150 mil a week, I'm good. I even have the toons go on at least one mission each week as well.
Any suggestions from readers are always welcome.

Re: What Isk/hour can you achieve using TinyMiner?
You are not at your full potential.... I was mining in a 0.7 system making 14-15 mil per hour gate mining to boot. This is two loads in the mackinaw per hour. Tooltip on the cargo hold says 7.x mil isk every load. Mine scordite or pyrox if you aren't already. If you are I'd need more info on why your yield is so low.
Best setup for most isk per hour?
I bought this with the intention of never having to pay for plex and hopefully being able to fund another account or two. I know I won't be able to do it with a venture, but what are people using right now and what are people pulling in isk wise? What fits do you have? And how many hours a day do you let it roam? Any help or direction would be helpful for a beginner. Thank you.
Re: What Isk/hour can you achieve using TinyMiner?
Currently I'm making 6m/hour in high sec with a Retriever (and decent enough skills to fit both strip miners + Mining Laser Upgrade II's).
That's ~960m @ 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. Couldn't pay for both accounts. If I was willing to risk 7 days/week * 8 hours, that'd be ~1400m, which would be enough to pay for both accounts plus a LITTLE extra.
I'm not sure if 8 hours a day, 7 days a week is safe. I also JUST started using this, so I'm not sure if I'm set up optimally yet.

Maximizing isk per hour
Do you make more isk per hour using a retriever or a covetor?
