Docking Option for Critical Shield Damage

Post by NetSAge »

I think it would be useful for higher sec mining where once in awhile an NPC will attack you. Then just make sure it chooses a different mining spot to return to.

The whole idea of a "Critical Shield Damage" point (the keyword here being Critical!) is NOT to get there in the first place because if you get there then something Really bad happened and you don't want to take any chances! High sec rats are very weak so if you slap on even a lousy civilian shield booster then it should be more than enough to keep your shield level way above 50%!

The critical level is currently set at around 20% shield when it is clear that you will not be able to recover so TinyMiner will immediately close Eve in order to cause your ship to warp away (assuming you are not warp scrambled by a suicide ganker of course)...

If you are a newbie and don't have enough Engineering and Shield skills yet then you might want to avoid the rats altogether so stick to mining in 0.9 and 1.0 systems that don't have any NPCs in belts.
