Drones after new update (SOLVED)

Postby eveplayer01 » Thu Dec 08, 2011 5:51 pm

Any one else notice that drones don't attack in belts even when set to aggressive after this patch?

I wonder if it was just a fluke for that day or something that is system wide.

Drones attack only if they are launched before the rats target your ship. CCP game mechanic.

You could make a (pirate npc) tab. Then when you reached the belt it searched and cleared all hostiles in the area first before mining.
don't know if you can use that for an addon

Automatic drones recall option for Mining (SOLVED)

Postby plr0432 » Sat Nov 11, 2017 6:07 pm

Maybe the app can have an option where the bot detects when the drones receive damage, then recall the drones, wait for maybe 30 seconds (so the orca get the agro) and then starts the cycle again, continue mining with the drones, and the orca can easily afk tank belt npc pirates. without the worry to loose any drones.

What do you think guys?

Would that be possible?

Or otherwise when a certain damage threshold is met target the rats with drones?

I agree that this is an issue, especially for lower level characters. If the drones launched immediately upon arriving at the field, they would defend fine. But often times the drones launch after the NPCs have targeted and started firing, so the drones don't attack, and the ship takes damage and flies back to station. Not good for efficient mining :)

Well, with the addition of the TinyMiner "BlackOps" DLC pack there's no need for all that hustle. You can now detect when rats are present in belt at arrival or if the rats have spawned while mining and you can decide whether you want to dispose of them with combat drones or simply warp to another belt and continue mining!

Great! The one feature that was in top of my wish list.

Also it would be great with next improvements ability to detect human players in the same belt. Human players hate then bot target same asteroid rock as them. Then they start writing your messages.
