hi question

just got this proggie. all ican say is OMG wish i bought this years ago.

anyways when mining i have all the belts bookmarked ,when my ship warps in range it locks the roids but then continues flying to get in - recommended range-. what happens sometimes is when a cycle is over the roids are no longer in range anymore when they try and relock so it wastes time flying towards a roid. i messsed with the option on eve, theres a option to set the orbit range, etc but all i want it do it warp in.whats in range lock them and STOP movie.(stand still). i end up hitting the stop button on the set speed bar every time but that defeats the -- auto-- mining sorta

what can i do to fix it?

That's the purpose of the Orbit feature, to keep the asteroids in range. It works well with a default orbit distance of 3500m or so as suggested in the tutorial.

You could use the "Warp from 200km" option instead and disable orbiting. That way your ship will always warp to the first asteroid from the Overview and will always be in range. Make sure to create your bookmarks at a distance of 200km+ from the asteroids and you're all good. Please read the Settings Page so that you understand how this works.

kewl,
i understand the part about the bookmarks. i make my bookmarks right in the field so when i warp to the bokmark i'm withn range of some 15-20 roids

what i don't get/see is the " disable orbiting" function. i've not sen that in either tm or the eve client options. yeah i know im 54 getting old/cant see but where is it hehe

You should look in the TinyMiner window under "Options especially useful for mining ICE" and you will see the option to disable orbiting. Come on there aren't that many options in total, so you can't really miss it if you take them one by one.
