How to take a great screenshot when reporting a possible bug

Post by VanGoghGaming »

When you are asking for customer support or if you wish to report a possible bug it always helps to add a screenshot to your description. This will ensure a swift solution to your problem without guessing in the dark.

In order to include as many details as possible you need to take a screenshot of your entire desktop with the EVE and TinyMiner windows visible on it. To do so simply press the PrintScreen key on your keyboard and then open the Paint program and paste (Ctrl-V) the screenshot in there. If you want, you can then black out your personal information and then save the picture as a JPG file. You can then upload this JPG as attachment to your forum thread or post it on photo sharing sites such as imageshack or photobucket or you can email it directly to me for analysis or open a helpdesk ticket with it.

That's all there is to it! Please consider doing it whenever you encounter an issue that you can't solve on your own. In order to avoid aggravation any new bug report threads that are not accompanied by a screenshot as described above are unlikely to be answered anymore. Thank you for understanding.
