As the title says, ive been on the eve world for several years.
I feel like i know the ropes in making isk but i hear the people i play along side with talking about huge cash ins they got that everyone benifit except me (because i wasnt around, also doesnt help that im rather a lone wolf.)
Im not trying to beg out any secrets for isk making, but as experienced as i think i am, i think i am doing it wrong.
currently i am ice mining in a hulk (yeah a hulk

) i have to redo my math because some how i found hulk ice mining was better (no need to copy and paste links i am aware of the ice mining optimial thread)
I want to mine roids to see if i can yield more but i dont want to make a folder with 20+ bookmarks. i really want to continue ice mining, but i think i am missing out on other potential isk making methods, you guys want to help this experienced player re-learn his methods?
Thanks~

Mining asteroids can be more profitable than ICE mining but it also depends on where you mine. For example most empire systems are overcrowded so the belts are depleted very fast and so you will make less ISK than mining ICE.
If you can find a bit more quiet system you only need to make 1 bookmark in each belt and use the "Warp from 200km" option for maximum efficiency.
There aren't any secret methods to make ISK. Mining has the added benefit of being done AFK so you are not burnt out from grinding. If you prefer to make the ISK yourself then some lucrative methods include trading/playing the market, scanning plexes in 0.0 space and wormholes.

thanks for the reply and advice.
i have a question though, i dont understand how bookmarking and warping from 200km helps efficient mining.
Is there a quick explination you can give? or a link answering this question? (i feel like you've explained this before

)

Well the benefits should be fairly obvious. When you continuously mine a particular belt, asteroids will start to pop and they will become further and further away from the initial warp point so your ship will waste valuable time by slow boating towards them in order to get within mining range. With the "Warp from 200km" option this disadvantage is overcome from the start since the ship will always warp directly to the first asteroid from the Overview thus effectively eliminating any wasted time due to slow boating.

^i think ive been doing something completely different, I have been putting many (as much as 8 ) bookmarks at different spots of a single field so i would randomly warp to any 8 bookmarks and pop every roid in the field without missing one.

Yes that's certainly one way of solving the problem but you'll find the "Warp from 200km" a much more elegant solution and you'll only need one bookmark in each belt so you'll have room for all belts in a system for maximum efficiency.

Wow! Thank you so much for actually covering what this is all about. I honestly had no idea that was what the 200km was for. This is really going to chop down on my "Belt 1 Spot 1-10" bookmarks.
