Gravimetric site info window covering the local chat window

Post by SamSerum »

Hi!

I'm mining in a 0.0 system and I'm having problems with mining at scanned down ore belts, since when I warp to it a info window shows up and covers the local chat window position, so TM isn't able to scan local chat properly for non friendly visitors. Is there a way for you to make it so it closes the info window after warping to a scanned down mining belt?

Forgive me if the question seems stupid or anything, VanGogh. Just trying to figure it out

Thanks

It's a perfectly legitimate, coherent and well documented question (somewhat rare in these forums) so it warrants an adequate fix in the next version. The program will press Enter after initiating warp in order to close these information windows opened by gravimetric sites.

It already does that! This feature has been implemented since version v5.2. After about 10 seconds or so since the warp has been initiated TinyMiner will press Enter and that will close any notification windows about the hidden belts. Just watch and see (don't click on anything or the notification window will lose focus and pressing Enter won't help then).

sorry for the necro VG but this feature isnt working  Im running version 5.51 I have checked the confirm shortcut in eve and it is locked to return/enter key which i assume is correct. I have also tried to close the window manually by pressing enter without TM running and It doesnt close from that either so looks like there has been a client update that has stopped this from working, so If possible can we please get a workaround. really looking forward to smashing some ABC's in wh space.

Yes I can confirm that pressing Enter no longer closes the gravimetric site popup unless it has the focus. This bug has been recently introduced by CCP with Incarna I think. They will probably fix it sooner or later but it has a pretty low priority since it isn't something vital.

Simply move the popup window somewhere out of place (below the Overview is fine) and it won't interfere with the mining operation from there. It will remember its position so it will always pop up where you moved it.
