Combat and Mining drones at same time please

VG - Just a thought, any chance of adding to the list of future improvements a way of launching mixed drones.

I like to mine Hi Sec and have to launch 5x combat drones to secure my 200million ISK Hulk !! - I tried today, having 2 Scouts and 3 miners and tell TM to "mine". Now, this worked for the 1st cycle - even took out a rat!! Cool, but when it re locks, the drone bay gets all expanded and messed up.

Whatcha think?

i like the idea but mining drones really dont add that much

strip miners 540m3 per 3 mins = 3m3 per sec

mining drone 1 = 15m3 per min = 45m3 per 3 mins PLUS! travel time and docking time seems to add

considering that its a 8.3 percent increase in yeild for one drone at base level over base strip miners

wait thats actually pretty good ... and thats base level , tech2's are faster and yeild more ,level 5 drone interfacing 100% more yeild - OMG IMPLEMENT THIS!!!!

im sure 3 tech 2 drones can defend while 2 mine..... surely

Against rats....5 drones wont always protect your hulk as the rats might target your drones..a but a decent tank will.

Against noob gankers....drones wont help you kill them before they kill you.....but a decent tank will hold them long enough for the cops to arrive.

Against experienced gankers...you hulk will die a miserable death with or without drones and/or tank.....

a better solution for the single client only, would be to release mining drones when the damage detection detects damage.

that way, rats spawn do damage tm detects damage activates slots and launches mining drones.

although damage detection is only available on single client as far as im aware?

Ok heres an idea, add another drone option so that you can put 1 combat drone and 4 mining drones out. When I put 5 mining drones out they end up getting targeted and destroyed over time. I tried mixing the drones by using 1 combat and 4 mining but adding the combat drone in added the engage enemy at the top of the right click drop down menu so when tinyminer goes to tell the mining drones to repeat mine it clicks expand instead. Either that or how do you protect your mining drones from rats. I am currently just running combat drones atm.
