Feature Idea (check laser activation) It's been implemented!

Post by SamSung »

First of all, cracking program.

Now my idea, I am in a system where there are LOTS of belts so my list of belts is pretty long.

When TM Mines out a fair chunk of the asteroids it has to get within range and using orbit is a nice elegant solution however, the timer runs while the miner is out of range of the roids so;-

How about checking to see if the lasers are firing and if not do not start the timer.

If the miner has to cruise in to the remainig roids 30k or perhaps more then you potentially could lose three cycles which means you go home with a partially filled hold.

I remember another bot generated a bookmark however that would complicate a lot of things so, while the miner closes on the last few roids the timer is off, as soon as the lasers fire up its on and it can run through it's normal cycle.

A simpler way might be to check the range to the neares roid and if it further away than mining distance don't start the lasers.

There is of course another consideration, not every laser works at the same range so, yes, more checkboxes to select the range to check for.

Otherwise, it mines 'like a champ'!

This is already implemented in v3.0. TinyMiner will check if the lasers have been activated or not and won't begin counting the cycles if the ship is still out of mining range. This is not implemented in TinyMinerPlus though since only one EVE client is visible at one time.
