don't get in a player run corp unless u need orca bonus from the safety of a POS or something like that cos its not worth the risk off getting war deced

dabbling in "inventing" I found the need for copies...

which the wait time in NPC-POSes is RE-FLIPPING-DICULOUS

which led me to wanting my own POSes

which led me to creating my own CORP....

which led me to getting Wardecced... a couple times.,... and learning some PAINFUL lessons on what you cant do when a POS is "locked down" and the answer is... "not friggin much"... AND, my experience is the noobs who wardec you are typically 14 year old amercan boys who 1) havent discovered girls, and 2) cant get to their porn sites on their parents internet, meaning they have NO idea what "negotiation" is. yeah, I lost 400M isk worth of POS, structures, and stuff...

which led me to the thought.... if you create your own "alliance" the cost to wardec you jumps from 2Million isk to FIFTY Million isk....

now creating your own alliance is about 2 months of training AND a BILLION isk... so thats more than a BIT of an investment

but... I wonder how many of the "recreational" war-dec-ers would drop the 50M just to wardec you?

seeing that they have to "blow it up" to get anything, and all they get is "salvage"... is the "salvage" worth the 50M?

Just join an existing alliance... noone checks and there are plenty out there who don't care much if you just hang around as long as they have the epeen to show-off there member number.

I have just trained up a miner and I am wondering whether or not to make a corp for him/her. The pros and cons are about what you would expect. There are a lot of people that feel that if a character is mining a lot and in a NPC corp then that is an indicator that said character is a bot. Of course, if you are in a player created corp then you are exposed to war decs. What do you guys do with your TM alts?

Half of my alts are in NPC corps, the other half are in 1 man corps. Its mainly to look a bit less suspicious (ie. I dont want all my alts in the same corp, or in npc)
