Ice mining question after Odyssey (SOLVED)
With the new June 2013 update, how do we go about mining ice? if this question is already asked and answered, please don't post this and let me know where I can read about this.
Thank you anyone.

Re: Ice mining question after Odyssey
Ice mining hasn't changed at all in the traditional sense. You still have to bookmark the Ice belt the same as you did before and then TinyMiner will start mining it.
That being said I am now working on a feature for the next version which will use the anomalies scanner instead of manually bookmarking the belt. That has the added benefit of mining regular ore sites as well as ice belts that spawn in the system (either one or the other, not both at the same time) and it should be able to continue mining the new ore sites after the old ones are consumed.

thumbs up for this project VG!

Sounds interesting, any updates on these features?
Re: Ice mining question after Odyssey
I've returned to Eve after several years to see if I wanted to reenlist. . Last time I enjoyed Ice mining with a fully loaded Ice mining bot and ship.
However, it looks like Eve has made Ice Mining far more of a hassle than before. With the limited ice mineable from an asteroid to the respawn every four hours and the subsequent inbound rush of other miners, it doesn't look good.
Do any of you have much experience with bot ice mining after Odyssey ?, and could you share it, both good and bad. It will sure help me to decide to stay with eve or leave.
Many thanks,
Glaun

Ice Mining under the new updates
In June, 2013, this question was asked,
"With the new June 2013 update, how do we go about mining ice? if this question is already asked and answered, please don't post this and let me know where I can read about this." I haven't really found an answer in these forums.
I resubscribed to my two accounts. One account was a dedicated mining account using a fully enhanced (ice implants) miner and a fully enhanced Mac. I found a one stop unoccupied ice field, and for a couple of years made a bunch of ISK, and in the process of using TM, had a lot of fun.
After reading the changes that the Oblivion update brought (Ice depletion, respawning ice fields, big time ganking and Ice Field rushing upon respawn) I wonder how automated Ice Mining is done now. Am I still able to fully automate the process so I can play another character on my second computer? I plan to quit EVE at the end of the month unless I find that I can get back into my old style of solo play in .06 or .07 neighborhoods in my Mac so as to support my other ships.
Anyone have comments or suggestions. Thanks in advance.
Also, If the answer to my question has been posted, please link me to it. Neither Google or this boards search help.

Re: Ice mining question after Odyssey
At the moment you need to either make the initial ICE field bookmark manually or switch to mining asteroid belts instead. In the future a new feature may be added to scan for new ICE fields automatically.

Thanks for your prompt reply VG.
I am still interested in any other comments on ice mining from those who automate your mining.

Does TM+ scan for ice belts?

Re: Ice mining question after Odyssey
At the moment you need to bookmark the ice belt yourself and let TinyMiner take over from there. In the future it will be possible for TinyMiner to pick the ice belt from the scanning window though since it's no longer necessary to use scanning probes to detect ice belts!

Re: Ice mining question after Odyssey (SOLVED)
Another great feature included in the TinyMiner "BlackOps" DLC Pack is the ability to detect new Ore Sites and Ice Belts in the Probe Scanner window and warp to them directly!
